Anybody NOT had weight gain on Amitriptyline??

Posted , 7 users are following.

I've been taking 10mg of amitriptyline for 2 nights to treat headache. I suffer from a numb sensation down my right side.

After reading all the side effects and posts on here it seems a lot of people put weight on. Has anybody not experienced weight gain or know how to avoid it?

Since starting my tingling feeling are worse and my ears are ringing so don't know if I should stop!

I took mine after 10pm as I was ready for bed half an hour later. Feeling awful going back on the citalopram, but I'm sure it will help me in the long run. I was sweating in the night on Amitriptyline, but finding it hard to get to sleep now x

I found that I take mine 25mg...at 7pm.in winter for some reason, because I can't get off to sleep that's earlier than normal, I take them the rest of the year at 8.30pm no probs....,always wake up a tad zombie like/tired..but that's ok, as soon as I'm up and into my day I'm right..but not, everyone is, people are just sooo different on them...but they really work well fo me..it did take quite a while to get the time and dosage right for me though.it is often just trial and error isn't it..:-) xxx have a lovely day..be blessed..
