That's where the rib pain comes from I think because I had xray ect they said reflux but honestly for your own piece of mind go to doctors again just tell them about your pain and see what they say I honestly think it's anxiety as I have had rib pain for a year now lol I still believe it's a clot half the time xx

Have you had the pains checked out by a doctor before or are you in a high risk group for blood clotting? If not, get it checked out. It is very unlikely to be anything serious. I used to get really bad pains in my liver area. Blood tests releaved no issues though.

However, if you suffer with anxiety, nothing like this is out of the ordinary. Does it flare up when you are feeling particularly anxious?

Iv never been doctors about the pain no , I'm not at high risk of blood clotting I don't think? It's just pains in my lungs and ribs. What can it be if it's not a bloodclot my mind is racing 😩😩

Well if you are 19, the risk is really low! However, always best to check with the doctor. Don't be ambarassed about going or speaking to him/her.

It could be a pulled muscle. It could be a chest infection. It could just be anxiety. Anxiety can cause sooooo many symptoms.

Look at it this way, if you had a blood clot in you would probably have a cough, blood in your spit, light headedness and a number of other symptoms rather than just chest pains.

Again, I am not a doctor, so get it checked out just in case. I just want to reassure you that it is likely to be nothing life theatening.

Thankyou! It's just stabbing pains in my right lung here and there 😔. Hopefully it ain't nothing serious. I do suffer from anxiety but don't get why anxiety causes this

Think about it like this. Worry about it will not make it any better. In fact, it will just make it worse.

Book an appointment at the docs, and in the meantime try not to think about it. If you live in the UK, you can call 111 to speak with a medical practitioner any time of the day. Keep that in mind if it doesnt get better.

    HI Michaela.

I've had sharp pains on my lungs before. Again, like others have recommanded get it checked up by a doctor if it lasts a couple of days. I've had a checkup for every weird sensation anxiety has given me.

I replied to another of your posts but the moderators edited my reply. I had put a link to a very helpful app I found and they erased that. Do you have a smart phone and can download apps? It's free and I really recommand it. It haelped me so much and it helped my racing thoughts and heart to go down to normal. (private message me if you want the link to the app, I guess I can't post it here)

Also please make sure you rest and eat a lot. You aren't helping your anxiety out if you don't have rest and food in your body.

Please stop convincing yourself there is somthing wrong with you. When I suffered from severe anxiety someone missdiagnosed me with anorexia. I didn't eat a thing that day because I was convinced anorexia didn't allow me to eat! I also didn't have strength to get up from my own bed that day because I thought anorexia had taken over my life. Please understand how silly this is and how it was all in my head because I was better the very next day when my doctor told me it was in fact anxiety.

    Cheers and Take Care

We're not medically trained, we know very little about you, your medical history, your dietary and lifestyle habits, the extent of your clinical and medical assessment we're not able to diagnose you. I provided you links detailing how health services work in general on two seperate occasions and through my own experince it's taught me that a physcian's loyality and commitment is to patient group at large and not to individual patients they have a responsibility to other patients you get your rations and that's it.. on your own girl!

I don't like to generalize but wouldn't be suprised if after providing bare bones service they're now discriminating against you as belonging to group of stressed, anxious, depressed due to being unable to explain your symptoms. patient.info is written by Generalist Physcians you'll likely find the main website which has loads of useful information and self help guides making it more helpful then the community forum don't waste another second trying to prove it's not in your head and learn basic psychology and physiology to make best out bad situation and lead more healthy life

So how long was you in A&E for? typically they aim to see and discharge patients with-in 4 hours.. did they engage and consult with you or just fulfil their duty of care by providing some reassuring tests which were likely not definitive and what did they attribute the symptoms to? Mine discharged me after 4 hours with a letter to my GP suggesting anxiety and never been taken seriously since rolleyes.. read the material I sent you about clinical assessments and medical diagnostics, the limitations and learn the process of diagnosing, the difference between differential and working diagnoses etc. not trying to alarm or stress you but needs to be taken into account as health care providers can be mainpulative with their assurances
