Anyone at the 3 month mark in recovery from labrynthitis?

Just wondering if anyone else is at the 3 month mark after being diagnosed with labrynthitis. That's where I am right now and would like to chat with others. I'm definitely improving but still struggling with some residual dizziness. Suggestions, comments, advice?

Hi Linda... I'm 13 weeks in. I have total hearing loss in my Right ear as a result and was beginning to feel better until a few days ago when I developed a head cold and it threw me right back... bad vertigo again, tinnitus and that full feeling in the ears. I'm really over it!!

Hi there, I’m now 12 months on. I have been diagnosed with permanent damage to both the auditory nerve and the vestibular nerve. I’m permanently deaf on the right and have had to have vestibular rehab. I feel as though I’ve had a brain injury. After 12 months I’m still struggling every day. But I’ve been told by my ENT he has never seen anyone with both nerves affected before me. Apparently most people are fully recovered in 12 weeks so good luck and hopefully another month in and you will be back to normal

I'm really sorry hearing u suffer from this ... my prayers goes to you .. hope getting well soon ( ameen) .

I'm actually diagnosed with VN vestibular neruites ... started around 8 weeks ago ... now I'm doing better and some bad days ( 60 % better than before ) and the best days is 80% better ...

But the most things that annoyed me is 1 the pressure , fog and like a tightness on my forhead and sinus .

      2. Still feel like I'm not normal even when I'm having best days ..( the head and unsteady )

3 anxiety that comes once I woke up

Do u have any experience for all of theses .

Hope u can give me any advices .. I will be appreciated .

Again hope you fast recovery .

      Ameen

Thank you all for sharing. I'm still at the beginning of this journey. For 3 months I've been having all the symptoms & im still waiting for an appointment with/ENT. This is my 3rd go around with this. Last 2 diagnosed w/ labrynthitis. This one is worse. Does anyone else have like a pressure pain in that area. It's hard to describe, like my eustachian tube is going to explode?

It's so good to hear from others. Sometimes I feel like I'm crazy. And other people don't get it!

    Thanks

I am on week 10 and although my balance tests came back clear, I have all these symptoms that match VN or lab. I started physio today and he specializes and did his thesis in vestibular disorders, he thinks I have lab.

I’m happy that I wasn’t going crazy since I thought this from the beginning but scared because of the pain, anxiety and fear of how long recovery will take- and if it will happen... how r u doing? I need some hope...
