Anyone been to Ochsner’s clinic New Orleans?

I’m scheduled to see a neurologist this Friday at Ochsners. I’ve been to several doctors and with many test run  I’m gotten no where. The last doctor I saw ran a nerve conductor test and found there was no nerve or muscle damage. She told me that she would lean toward fibromyalgia or something she called polymyalgia. I feel like I need to see a rheumatologist and I don’t know if the Dr. at Ochsner’s will suggest that I see one. My mental state is not good some days because I’m so frustrated with this pain and when it will get well enough I can go back to work. I have a couple days and then I hurt so bad the next few days. My legs and hips hurt so bad and I feel very tired and weak. If not that then my neck and shoulders hurt and the pain goes into my arms or into my head and causes terrible headaches. I’m usually in decent shape and work hard and love to work out. This has me down where I don’t feel like doing anything. I need help and don’t know what to do.

There are two medical tests for FM  , one  just announced today offered by Iquity .The other test is offered by  EpicGenetics .  Most insurance covers EG . In both cases a simple blood draw is needed . The FDA is expected to ok in 60 days the use of  BCG to cure FM .

I'm so sorry you feel bad.. I found that with my moods a supplement b complex 100 mg really helps also avoiding sugars.. cause it lifts me up for a few minutes and then I feel horrible.  Maybe lifting your mood a bit will help you face all the other stuff better.

    Darryl.

I feel the same sick of being in pain no sleep at night with pain. Cant plan day to day stuff because can't judge how pain will be.

I hope in time there will be some pain relief that works for us all.

Hope it goes well for you.

    Take care

I have pain in chest, arms, legs, hips, and ribs. I had a high inflammation marker blood test and tested positive for ANA. My doc is sending me to a rheumatologist. The more anxious I get the worse the pain feels.
