Anyone can't get into Hosp for Op cos of BV?

Hi all,

I have been suffering with BV now for 6 months. I am wondering if anyone is in same boat as me or has any advice as 2x now Hosp have cancelled my Op which was to have a D and C, removing some Polyps which I didn't know I had even til was examined with BV. Everytime I have had BV and used Antibiotic Clindamycin cream. The last few times the BV was grade 3 which is the worst grade, then the 2nd time it was grade 2 so the Dr said to have cream again which would clear it up. This time its now gone back to grade 3. Am gutted! I am a week away from going to Hosp and again am certain the Specialist will cancel me because he always says that the infection could end up being pushed higher due to the Op which could be dangerous. I am at my wits end!! I have tried Priobotic Yogurt though not recently as it didn't seem to do anything and tried Tea tree and Peroxide stuff. I just wonder if anyone else is having same problem in that they can't get to have Op because they are being refused. I feel like I am the only one!! Yet I can't be. But not found any other post on here so far with same worry as me besides the BV. I worry there maybe something else wrong and it can't be sorted cos of BV so that may end up becoming serious. End of day I just want Op over and done with as feel i can't move on with my life. And would be nice to get rid of BV! sad At mo am back on Clindyamicin cream as its been the only thing I can tolerate and because I have a week before am due for Hosp though probably wasting my time again. Was told maybe I have diabetes or should get thyroid checked. Got no probs in checking on this but am sure I don't have this prob.Probs that may not be helping is I have a weak immune system or overactive one with allergies. Please help. I feel so down now.

    If you need a fix to.get the procedure they should give you antibiotic Flagyl pill. It's for 7 days no alcohol. Mine always clears up after that. So you should be able to get the procedure done. Make sure to get the yeast pill also (forgetting name). The cream they gave you never worked for me.

      Thanks, all have been offered is Clindymicin or Metrodinazole. Metrodinazole I know is more stronger but have never been able to tolerate it. I will definitely ask about Flagyl. I take it this too is an antibiotic? Just not sure if I can tolerate it in pill form as am so allergic to pills which is why I end up stuck on the cream.

    Just to let you know that I again got refused at Hosp for Op even though am still using Clindamycin Cream. Am also now Taking Probiotics. Have also read that B Complex, Vit C helps so will be getting these too. Just its going to be an expensive game going natural but don't know what else to do.

    All this week gone I have had blisters form in my mouth and gut ache and thats with inserting the cream which is nowhere near my gut or mouth! But I know it is this because it is worse after using the cream and first thing in the morning.

      Wow I am sad and sorry to hear all the pain your going thru. I've never had blisters or gut ache from any of the meds given to me. I get blisters in my mouth when I get to much acid. Could be the vitamins your taking. The probiotics could be the cause of your gut ache.

      I take Raw probiotics for vaginal care. I get it in the refidgerator section at my health food store.

      I really hope you get some relief soon!

      Thanks appreciate that. No its definitely not been the probiotics as this started when on the Clindymicin before was taking any probiotics. Not been taking any other vitamins as yet. But after 3 days of taking Probiotics its definitely helped with the reaction of the Clindamycin which I didn't expect. I was only taking them to help give me good bacteria. Blisters gone completely and gut not as bad. Least that something I spose. Last day of the Clindamycin thankgod! Then another test.

      I also been told by Hosp to have my blood sugar level checked for diabetes. Am sure it isn't that with me, but just saying incase anyone reading this is diabetic incase that could be one of the reasons why BV doesn't clear. Just looking for other answers and solutions now.

    How did the tea tree oil work for u and how did u do it? I've been thinking about trying it cause I've tried everything and nothing else has worked and have been treated with antibiotics several times and they didn't work either. I'm desperate to find something that works or at least helps
