Anyone else feel like they're killing themselves on this?

I feel you need professional help and support with this ... zopiclone is so addictive but once you see your doctor you'll be on the road to recovery... take care all the best

Been on 15mg Zopiclone for over 20years, No problems.  I think you need help.    Tell all this to your GP - Urgent!

this is a horrible highly addictive drug. Is your GP still prescribing them? I'm assuming you are in UK? I thought there had been a crackdown on zop as it's 1. Highly addictive and 2. Linked to certain cancers. I was prescribed 7.5mg for many years and used as prescribed but then I started using (really abusing) them to treat anxiety as they appeared to calm me. Long story short ended up buying online and in a mess. Sadly I'm still taking 3.75mg per night (controlled by my hubby) but whilst not ideal as I'm still using most nights I've made huge progress. I stopped completely for 4 months but had a health scare, was in hospital for a while and because I was frightened I asked for and was given them, that's how skidded down the slope again. At my worst I was taking up to 6-7x 7.5mg per day. One occasion I took 60 in 2 days, a pathetic attempt to take my life. I have never felt suicidal before so I think this drug was really screwing me up. I'm sharing this with you cos I want to help. Please see your GP and ask for help. I felt so ashamed to admit my behaviour to my doctor but he has helped so much providing a safe reduction plan. Please PM me if you wish. Good luck x

Are you the naked rambler then?😁 only teasing, it's good to laugh! If they're prescribed I guess it's okay then. However I would ask your GP About the rashes etc. And speak to your CPN also, about the way you're feeling atm x

You make me smile! I'm on a waiting list for physio, over 4 months. I have an autoimmune condition, psoriotic arthritis, similar to rheumatoid. Very painful, lost job cos of it, at 45 years old, a chick still. So I get low mood with pain, no sleep because of pain so on ADs, low zop to try to make life bearable and heavy duty painkillers too. I hope when psori arthritis is managed properly I will be able to get off mirtazipine, and so many painkillers when physiotherapy begins to help. And evil zop - it eats my brain, poor memory etc. Perhaps they wait for us to end it all! That would reduce waiting times for others. Gallows humour, my friend ! Keep in touch but please follow earlier advice , zop plays havoc sometimes, discuss the symptoms youre going through, I think you need a change or certainly some tweaking of med. Please learn from My sstupidity.

Have you been to a doctor re your symptoms.  I have been on zoplicone for many years and at one point was taking 7 (7.5) a night then weaned myself down to five then with help of my doctor am now down to 2 a night.  have no symptoms at all in regards to what you are experiencing.  a couple of nights I had screwed up during the week because i get a prescription from doctor for 8 weeks but can only have them dispensed weekly from pharmacy.  I ended up having to take half a tablet for two nights until new dispense and I was surprised that it was a long night but no symptoms and actually did dose off here and there.  dont know why when got my new prescription i went back to two but that is addiction.  am trying sooo hard to get down to half and stay there and eventually go off.  Lately on one of my other discussion groups i am in people have not been talking about weird experiences and gives me full of hope that i can do it.
