Hello anna. So sorry to hear you are in so much pain. Is it Tietze's Syndrome you've been diagnosed with?

Hi again anna. I have Rheumatoid Arthritis and coincidentally see the Rheumatologist for the first time later today. I presume it's RA, I had a raised Rheumatoid Factor but I get pain in my ribs as well. So I'm so sorry anna I can't answer your question but I think you should see your GP. Take care.

I Anna... I have been diagnosed with tietze after suffering since dec 18th. Had 4 chest X-rays..2 EKG...2 blood draws...and a catscan. Mine started as very bad chest pain then two weeks later I developed a lump of swelling on my sternum that became bilateral. It went to both collar bones and left arm pit. Now I have a pea sized lump in my left breast. Everything I had came back normal, so my doc here in the US said it was tietze. My chest and half way up my neck was red and warm to the touch. I've also experienced a fast heartbeat now and some weight loss. My doctor said and I believe this that the weight loss was due to my over stressing of the unknown. I still have pains in my ribs and chest both sides. I'm no longer taking the ani inflammatory prescribed because I found out the UK has taken diclofenac off the shelves. I'm still a bit red on my chest. I believe what your experiencing is tietze. One doctor gave me vestaril for the panic attacks I was having because the pain was so bad. I didn't wash my hair or shave for a whole month because I couldn't lift my arms. Just rest, do not lift anything...drink lots of water and eat plenty of raw foods. Cherries are a natural anti inflammatory as is garlic. Don't worry yourself sick like I have. You will be ok. Tietze hurts like no other pain I have felt but it's manageable. Hope I've helped a little.
