Anyone else get nauseous during anxiety attacks???

Some people have told me in the past I’m dramatic for throwing up/dry heaving while having an anxiety attack in the past. Even people with anxiety have said “well I have anxiety and that doesn’t happen to me so you’re faking and being dramatic” and it’s made me feel like there’s something wrong with me. So does anyone else get this feeling sometimes? Also I’ve been diagnosed by a psychiatrist with Generalized Anxiety Disorder and Major depression.

I have been this way since i was a little girl. I used to gag every morning before school and never realized that it was because of my anxiety. we just recently lost my dad and at the funeral my 17 year old daughter was gagging when she was upset. I told her it was just her anxiety over losing him. This is a very real and true symptom of anxiety so please do not ever let anybody tell you otherwise or make you feel bad for having these symptoms! Hang in there 😃

I feel sick with anxiety attacks. I don't think I have ever been sick, but its felt awful. I think its common, but do check it with your GP.

Yes, definitely. Those that don't have severe aniexty don't understand how bad it can get. I've felt extremely nauseous to the point of gagging. I've never actually thrown up but definitely felt the need to. So you're not alone on that or being dramatic.
