Anyone else have leg pains?

Hi everyone. I am particularly neurotic today, which is causing me such anxiety. Anyway.

I was wondering if anyone else suffers from leg and foot pain when they walk.

I am super unfit. I have been depressed for various reasons and for years I haven't really walked much. However, I do through spats when I do walk a bit. My legs really really hurt. No matter if I have walked recently or not. It's not muscular. Although muscle spasm in lower calf does occur. I feel like the bones are sore. After I walk and am in agony it takes a while to recover. Anyone else had this?

Hi, yes I have aching limbs!  My ankles are particularly stiff in the morning or after having sat down for a while.  Takes me a while to get going.  I am quite fit and recently, after exercise, I've noticed my legs in particular, are aching and tired much more than they ever were.  Not sure what to suggest.  I had foot pain a while ago.  It arrived out of nowhere and disappeared the same way.  I was neurotic about it - diabetes etc - but like many of the other symptoms, it's all settled down.  It did  go on for a while.  I know what you mean by the pain being in your bones - that's what it feels like to me too.  In fact my shins are hurting as we speak!  It is awful - if you find anything that's works, let me know!

I can relate too. If I sit on the bed, (as I am now) I get up and my ankles are stiff. I hobble off, then walk. Ugh! it makes one feel so old too.

Thank you, Marisa. I think I suffer a slight memory issue too as I recall magnesium and calcium helping, then I forgot. Thanks for the reminder.

Oh I hear you I am a nurse the first time I noticed any issues was with my left knee it became warm to the touch no swelling I thought it was a blood clot imagine having knowledge doesn't help at times anyway I figured out it must be arthritis I have it in my spine and it was going to rain today and usually the night before my knees ache and become warm plus it only happens at night ughhh this perimenpause is just a nightmare I don't think there is one day I actually feel good! I usually take ibuprofen which helps somewhat I wish I could give you more answers and also my feet and ankles ache at times too

Thanks for your answer. I was thinking perhaps our hips go a bit out of sync? (I had thought of all the other horror reasons) as I suffer from sore hips in bed. I ended up buying a new bed but hasn't worked. However, it is more comfortable which improves sleep a little. I might have arthritis to me that sounds kind of right somehow. I get sore lower back as though all my vertebrae are sinking if that makes sense? I never get swelling. (That I am aware of anyway)

I also had hip pain and bought a new bed thinking it was our bed. It was not..I still had the pain...and working out made it worse. I now do gentle yoga, take Mag..Calcium ect...and have lowered stess. and try my best to eat better. It takes a bit, but I feel it has helped a great deal.

Thank you Marisa, I feel better somehow because here I am thinking I need to 'walk walk walk'. I just can't it's so painful. I don't have a car either so it's not easy. I can relate. I am going through an unbelievably stressful time. I am not eating that well and not taking my supplements. Thank you for reminding me. I will start today, and take it day by day.

I have leg pain from another reason but every time I go to the doc, they ask, do you have leg pain during or after exercise?  So, I think it must be pretty significant if they all ask it.  Get it chcked out sooner than later.😎

I'm so nervous about that. I have a Doctor phobia. I guess I'll have to. Thank you xx

It is easy to have a doc phobia!  If I don't agree with what they are saying (after I have confirmed my suspicions) or they act like your opinion doesn't count (it's only your life, after all!) then I fire them.  Remember they work for us, not the other way around!  I always tell a new doc on my first visit that I am interviewing them to see if we will mesh.  If they are offended, there's your answer.  If they are open to that, it has a real chance of being a successful doc/patient relationship.  😎

well not sure how that would work with the NHS. I'm pretty much told which Doctor to see and when. I waited 3 months just for a specialist appointment.

Yes I have been suffering with this for the past two weeks I can relate to the leg and foot pain almost feels like when I step on the back of my foot the pain starts and goes up my leg I was wearing flip flops and I noticed it started when I started wearing those almost like a pinched nerve feeling I often have to stretch to get it to ease it seems like when I'm in a sitting position it bothers me the most but as long as I'm walking or moving around the house it doesn't bother me sometimes it feels like it makes my foot go a little numb it's not really known but it just feels that way almost like pressure under my heel but I was told that flip flops can cause damage and I noticed after I stopped wearing them I still get it but not as often as I did when wearing those flip-flops
