Anyone else recently been diagnosed?

Hi I'm 19 and was 98% diagnosed last Thursday (20th), just waiting to see my doctor next Monday and going out of my mind. When I had my scan the lady told me she was certain I had PCOS, all my dreams of having children slowly faded away, I keep crying and loosing it with my boyfriend as he keeps going on about his new car and other rubbish, mind you he should be used to it after all I have been with him for 3 years, but at least I have answers why hairs keep sprouting from my chest and back and why I seem to have facial hair even though I am a woman  and why no matter how much I go to the gym and more or less starve myself I seem to get heavier. I was just wondering if anyone has recently been diagnosed and if we could talk about our experiences
Thanks

i was diagnosed in April this year and this was a complete shock to me and my husband as well.
We have been trying for a baby for over a year and only now understand why we've been unsuccessful. I've cried numerous times but have come to accept this. My frustrations lie in that there is no defined treatment for this. - I think stress plays a really big part but I dont feel stressed out that often.

I pay about £500 a year (i just barely afford this some years i have to do without and go back to a fur face) to keep my face under control. I had a full face of hair, much like a man's beard..in fact my hair grew faster than my brothers.
I have fur all over my body chest, back, thighs and belly. my mistake was letting myself put lots of weight on when i got depressed. The hairs just grow thicker and stronger and very fast!
I read that if pcos peops eat a low GI diet (foods that take long time to release energy) they keep thier insulin level stable and low. I'm trying this at moment and have lost a few pounds without having to do very much more than usual gym twice a week. Anything is worth a try i guess.
this is the ISBN of the GI cookbook i use (was £5 at woolworths), bit basic but quick to read ISBN 1-40545-835-6. I also use the diet doctors inside and out book ISBN 009191050-1 for tips (about £12 i think). but i guess it would be free getting info from the net
Take care

sorry not trying to worry you about hairs. sorry.
I take it all in stride even with my furry face. Even though at my hairiest i was on a huge poster campaign for my last job and no one twigged i had a hairy face. my job is very people facing and still no one sees...an even those really nosey ones that do get a sort of glimpse, don't say anything to me. I am quite a soft person so they have plenty opportunities aswell.

I had alwasy struggled with my weight and had a vegi diet. I awaited my turn on the NHS for IVF treatment at St Mary's Manchester, and was given an ideal weight of 11 stone to get down to and contact them again as soon as I had my next period. I worked hard going to aerobics twice a week and a fruit diet twice a week. My period never came, but my one and only daughter arrived 14 months later without any treatment at St Mary's.
What I will say is be positive and never give up, my daughter (now 10) was well worth the failed treatments and the long wait.
Also make sure your GP gives you regular check ups on the other symptoms of this condition.
