Anyone else suffering from light sensitivity/tmj symptoms?

I've been very stressed and anxious recently for a number of reasons. Suddenly I have this kinda dull pain on the left side of my face which seems to go from inside my ear to the bottom of my jaw. When I open my mouth wide I can hear small clicking noises on the left side which is why I believe it's TMJ. Anyone else suffer from similar symptoms, can this be caused by anxiety /stress?

I'm also suffering from light sensitivity/photophobia a lot of the time  and some kinda tension headaches,  no idea if the two are linked though?

I have the light sensitivity!!!!!! Thought it was just me. Is the ligh extra bright for you?

    TMJ is probably from clenching...

Yeah I will have to be squinting most of the time if it's too bright, it's not really painful just uncomfortable and this can sometimes occur with a tension headache. How about yours?

Light seems way too bright. I think I've always had tht a little bit, but it's extra bad when I have anxiety. I hear it's because our pupils dilate when anxious and let in too much light....

Yeah I always suffered from light sensitivity on super bright days when I'm outside but suddenly it's really unbearable even when inside, especially when it's badly lit but then there's a bright light or TV on or something it'll really aggrevate my eyes..

So it's definitely anxiety that causes this then?

That's what they say. But, you know, us anxious people will definitely think it must be something serious haha

Is yours worse in flourescent lighting?

Haha yep gotta love healthy anxiety..

I'm not sure about fluorescent lighting or where i'd even find that haha. It just seemed to have gotten a lot worse recently to the point where I'm considering wearing sunglasses everywhere I go!

Fluorescents are the lights in grocery stores and walmart type places

Ah right then yeah definitely. I assume they are the same/similar to sirens and street lights? They affect me the most.

I get all sorts of weird sensations on my face, similar to what you are describing. Must be the Lyrica  because I never experienced it before. It feels like to me that I loose some sensations on one side of my face?! But it doesn't usually last long. Also I find after being on the laptop or watching T.V for a while, I eventually start having trouble keeping my eyes on the screen because of the brightness. It's quite a scary drug it feels to me, but a lot of the time I feel O.K.
