Anyone else with vestibular damage find themselves going backwards during healing?

hi! 30f ive been struggling for 6 months now after waking up randomly with nasty vertigo and neck pains.

then the vertigo stopped and left me with a constant rocking sensation and awful brain fog.

went and got caloric testing done that reveals 32% damage to my left ear.

ive been going to vestibular rehab as prescribed by my oto-neurologist and he has high hopes i can get this to level out and compensate.

whats worrying me is ill have a few days where ill feel like im on the upswing, and then suddenly wake up on a day like today where it feels like im back at square one with intense swaying, ear ringing, ear pain, and occolopsia (eyes shaking) all over again.

its definitley sending me into pretty nasty bouts of anxiety and hopelessness. i could use some uplifting.

Keep going, I've felt the same thing. Everything says a few months to heal. sure....

I'm 4 months into what sounds like same thing, VN. woke up, had a vertigo spin, then nausea, brain fog, eyes blur when moving head, dizzy, disassociated feeling. Had vhit test and shows 68% gain on right side and 80 something on right. it's the inequality of these two sides that gives these symptoms It sucks totally, so difficult mentally.

Two things that came up for me. if you have any eye issues, you need to get them addressed. I would get a neuro-optometrist assessment. other item, make sure you have full neck motion range and get your atlas checked for correct alignment. if you've ever had a concussion, don't think it doesnt have an effect, even if years ago.
