Anyone ever had iron infusions?

Care to share your experience? I'm going for a couple iron infusions soon and just want to know that it may in fact help ferritin get higher...quicker!

    I have had several about 3 months apart (iron levels always drop again) and they are very effective. Each takes about 3 weeks to be effective. Unfortunately they don't know what is causing the anaemia so I'm just hoping this keeps working. This has been going on for about 2 years. Has anyone been taking infusions for longer?
