I'm curious if anyone notices that has vestibule or dysfunction or MAV, do you ever find you lean to one side of the other when your sitting? I notice when I'm watching tv sometime I find myself leaning to the left and I've noticed it when I'm driving to. Does anyone else have this?

My chiro must have noticed it cause he gas me doing things to go to the right side.

Thanks for your answers

I don't think I physically lean to one side over the other. I've asked people when I feel like I'm swaying back and forth if I'm moving or leaning and they say no. In the first couple of weeks I had some neck pain but i found that the VRT and walking daily has helped with that.

In cases or unilateral peripheral vestibular dysfunction, we lean towards the ear with the dysfunction.

Hi my story is a long one. 3 episodes of. VN. Which has now only been confirmed after 25 years since my last episode.   Now again I have this evil thing and am working my way through it.   Your question. Yes I was leaning to the left which was told was my bad side. 25 years ago not much information my neurologist told me no cure, might return might not. Everything I was feeling was from the scared nerve at back of ear.  When the ear takes in movement or sound it goes to the balance nerve at the back of the ear and it then forwards it to the brain.   In the case of VN the electrical signal from the ear to the brain is distorted and bounces to the wrong part of the brain.  Signals from other ear do not match therefore brain is confused and dizziness. Or depending on where this signal lands other symptoms like anxiety increased.  However all out there long term sufferers goggle. Vestibular disorders association.   Top ten facts about vestibular disorders also same site , current research studies   There maybe something out there to help us all walk straight again.   I would say do not try to hard too fast as this confuses the brain more.  Little but ata time let your scar heal and your brain time to process your movements. Also when you are looking up VN or other vestibular disorders only key in for facts after 2015. As this type of research and knowledge has only had money spent on it in the last 10 years

my main sufferance this time round is anxiety. Which can stop at the flick of a switch  am now going to take very small does of amitriptyline to get me through.  Remember all you feel is from inside it is not you going mad
