I had/ have the brain fog. I am on day 17 of citalopram. It comes and goes right now. I have an off good day then back to being anxious. I can tell the med does start working on train of thought because at first I would say stuff all jumbled. Or what I was thinkingnisnt what I would say. It is definitely a rough road but we will get throughsmile

      Hi j,

Not all people are the same. Dont take everything from one person's experience to heart. Brain fog there are other reasons for it like thyroid problems. I have hypothyroid so sometimes that might be the case. My anxiety can cause it and so sometimes that is the case. I can tell you that i have had the symptom of brain fog before due to anxiety and it has gone away for many years till recently. But I had many reasons for it to happen this time. My son was diagnosed with a knee tumor that freaked me out and then my dad passed away. It was a bit much for me in a matter of a few weeks.

So please know that one person is not going to be exactly the same as the next person.

My girlfriend has said exactly the same thanks for the reply Melissa and I’m sorry that happened to you it’s a cruel world and hope your son is better! With my heightened anxiety it can Ben literally one comment from a random person that can trigger it, I’ve calmed myself down a bit from this morning but still very shaky and feel in dispair. I’m looking for answers online and there seems to be a lot of causes and aim thinking what about if no one can find it for me it also happened around a time when my anxiety was at its highest my dad had a serious heart attack and had to have a triple heart bypass so I don’t know if it’s was the hightned stress from that or the fluoxetine I started taken which I gave up after 10 days. I’ve also had serious pains in my left hand side of body from my chest to my back like lung area also tingles in My left arm especially painful if I lie down and when breathing’s so I’m thinkng that could be an inflammation or that could be just symptoms of my stress. It just seems endless and want to find the root of what is causing It, i hated having panic attack and but this brain fog is much worse and would happely replace it with panic attacks and anxiety! I just hope I find what is causing it I just want my life and personality back!
