Anyone find anti histamines make anxiety worse?

I'm just over 3 weeks on sertraline for anxiety due to zopiclone withdrawal. I do occasionally get the odd bad night so have been taking over the counter phenergan(promethazine hydrochloride) but wondering if I should stop,. Took some last night does help with sleep but anxiety through the roof today. I know in early stages of sertraline anxiety can get worse but have noticed when I've taken anti histamine before sometimes anxiety increases. Bit of catch 22, just wondering if they interact with each other?

    I take viseral on nights that are bad. It seems to work for me.
