Anyone get nauseous on Fluoxetine?

I was first prescribed this 8 years ago when I had post-natal depression and cannot remember any side-effects. I have just been given another lot to help me deal with anxiety attacks/depression, and started taking them on Tuesday (3rd dose this morning). Today I felt so sick - really nauseous, shivery and tired. I took my son to school and spent the rest of the morning in bed. Couldn't face eating anything until this evening, and the nausea has passed off for now. First I though I might be coming down with a vomiting bug thats doing the rounds, but as I haven't actually thrown up, just wondered if its the tablets doing it?
Anyone else had this?

I was prescribed fluox on Monday and I've had four doses. The first time I got quite strong side effects - fever, sweating, shivering, tried but couldn't sleep, and when ever I felt hungry I also felt a wave of nausea.
Most of the side effects seem to have calmed down, I still get a bit feverish at certain points in the day, but its bearable. The one thing I still get is the nausea at meal times and indigestion, hopefully this will pass too.
My guess would be that it was a side effect in your case and mine although you could easily have just picked up some bug in the GPs' waiting room. The problem is when you take a drug like this that you start to attribute anything you notice about your body to side effects even when there are other explanations. Myself, I'm making a spreadsheet of when I take my pill, possible side effects, how I feel and so on to help me work out the best way to use the medicine.
Hope you feel better soon.

So far the Stemetil seem to be helping, and I'm not afraid to go out and get on with my normal routine in case I start throwing up!
Hopefully, if it is a side-effect, it should subside in a couple of weeks anyway.

I was feeling quite sick too initially but it didn't bother me too much. It gets better with time. I have now started week 3 and I am beginning to feel less sick. Let's hope it goes well!

I was prescribed Flu by my doctor today and she REALLY emphasised how important it was to have reasonable sized breakfast each day, before taking the tablet.
I know I was told the same with antibiotics and it made a big difference when I had something lining my stomach.
It might help. Or it might just give us all something to throw up!*@ - I hope it's the former.
