My eye doctor wants to "clip the tear duct" on my right eye, which is constantly dripping tears, and blurring my vision. Anyone here had this done, and are you glad you did? Was the end result positive? Any complications or side effects? Thanks.

Martin, I'll get back to you about it asap. I remember something about my husband having an anaethetic through his nose. I can't quite remember what it was, I'll ask him later today for you. I'm pretty sure he had surgery a few years ago. I'll let you know later today. He had green gunk coming out of his eye before he had it done. His was a quashed tear duct.

Martin, his tear duct was taken out & replaced new. It was 15 years ago. But, he's just told me it's started happening again, with watery eye, green gunk coming out.
