Anyone had this?

Random pain in spine. Feels as if somebody is taking their knuckle from the inside and grinding it outward, comes and goes throughout day. It will appear mid-back (to lower) slightly to the left of spine and sometimes slightly to the right. Seems to relieve when laying down. Anyone experienced this? If so, what was it?

    Hi there,

I have had spine complications since I was in my 20's due to lifting something far too heavy and damaging my back.

I would suggest that you get it checked out with your G.P. as it could be an early sign of something going on at a deeper level. I also have other bits that are now being discovered, as unfortuantely the grinding painful lower joint pains I was getting was not only trapped nerve, but also early onset rheumatroid arthritus. So do just go get an x ray at least.

It is not sciatica,by the sound of it, so at least you aren't getting shooting pains down your leg.

If you get any numbness around your inner top thighs, or find going to the loo feels numb, then it is an emergency A&E requirement. I doubt this is the case but it is always good to know.

    Good luck!

    Jo
