Hi Ann, I had a right knee replacment in 2002 and then had a revision on the right knee in 2003. I just had the right hip replaced on July 19 (it will be 4 weeks this coming Tuesday). It has not affected my knee in any way. I am 67 years old. Don't worry do what doctors say, rest and do your therapy and you will be fine. Good luck and keep in touch.

    Hugs,

Hi Ann, I am 18 days post op RTHR getting stronger every day. I had both knees replaced June/Sept 2014. The knees both work good. This hip really caught me by surprise, no problem just 4 months ago, it got bad really quick. I have had no problems with knees from this latest surgery. You do have to sleep on your back with pillows between knees after hip surgery so you don't cross legs. Just one of the precautions you have after hip surgery. Made my knees a little stiff sleeping like that, but they were fine as soon as I got up and moved them. Best wishes with your surgery, you will do fine.
