Anyone have any idea what these look like? First photo is groin area. Next two are inner thighs. This started about July 20th, I had two bumps on my lower scrotum. They went away after about two weeks. Then I was peeing and felt something in my groin (about a month later from when I noticed the first bumps). Thought it was a pimple, was drunk and pulled on it without looking. It felt like it pulled away from my skin and would pull back. Did this a couple times and I pulled it off and it started bleeding. I picked at it and it kinda scarred but heeled up after a week. Then about when that heeled up I got a rash (looked like poison ivy) on both sides of my scrotum close to the groin area. About the time I got the rash, I started getting the little red spots around my inner thighs and below mu buttocks (upper thigh). Before the rash started and the first few days, I was itchy in my scrotum, taint, ass. That lasted a few days, and the rash is pretty much gone a week later. The pics are what things look like now. All told, all this has been going on 7-8 weeks now.

Hope someone can give me some kind of guess with what I'm dealing with here. The little spots that show up are red and some have really tiny white spots, similar in size to a pinhead

Hi, the description you make and the pictures sounds a lot like folliculitis. Nothing to worry about, just annoying, especially in sweaty areas. If it keeps coming back, it can be caused by bacteria or fungus. Try to avoid scrathing and clean it with peroxide. In case it's fungus you can try an OTC ointment.

Thanks for the reply. I've been freaking out a bit. I need to quit picking at it (always a problem with acne) and see how it looks. I'll try to update with some pics after a little more time. Been worried about it being herpes

No problem. I'm not an expert and don't have HSV but I really don't think it is from your pictures... They are commonly mistaken because they both cause red rash and bumps but folliculitis is inflamed hairs and will cause a pimple and white head like acne. HSV causes ulcers and they are quite painful. Don't hesitate to get a professional opinion if you are still in doubt.

The rash looks like chaffing and the bumps look folliculitis to me. Sorry was kinda of both lol.

the other weird thing that recently started was I noticed a red mark below my belly button. Went away in a few days, then noticed four new ones spread across my stomach between my belly button and waist line. Two were just red, one was a white head that i popped and the other was more like a black head. Those have mostly gone away, but a new white head popped up next to where the black head was. I've also had a rash under my arm pitts, one way worse than the other. I'm going to try to get there to see someone this week or the following one. This is the 8th week now from when things first started.

that is kinda weird. its almost like a psoriasis or something. nothing on your penis just stomach and armpits? are you sexually active? are the spots getting better?

Nothing on penis. Stomach, armpits, scrotum, thighs, and butt. Rash on balls and pitts. Resembles acne on thighs, butt, and stomach. I haven't been sexually active since all this was going on. Was with someone not long before, wore a condom, but she gave me oral unprotected. Last time before that was a couple of months as well.

So, it's been a while since I've updated this. Went to a walk in clinic and was told they thought folliculitis but i should see a dermatologist. Finally, over a month later, have an appointment coming up to see one. Will update afterwards. In the meantime, still not convinced this isn't herpes. I just have a bad feeling. I've now had breakouts on my inner thighs, back of thighs and butt in different spots for at least 8 weeks now (might be closer to 10 or more in these spots) Some go away and new ones pop up every day. Overall, all this from my previous posts has been going on for 13 weeks. Here's what it looks like today. First two are inner thighs, second two are back of thighs below buttocks:

Well, another update as I await my appointment with the dermatologist next week. After reading online, I started using head and shoulders and stridex pads on the acne or whatever it is on my inner thighs and back of my thighs and it seemed to clear up in a few days. Just as I thought things might actually be over, I developed another rash in my groin area. So anytime one thing has cleared up over these last 3+ months, something new takes its place. Here's the rash (derma appointment can't come soon enough.

Has anyone had anything similar to any of this? Hoping for the best, prepared for the worst but its all been kinda strange
