Anyone have experience with Citalopram and Xanax?

Today is my second day of Citalopram and I have not yet taken the dose. I just need an hour to compose myself before dealing with the side effects again, some of which I am still feeling anyway. My doctor gave me a prescription of Xanax for panic attacks or really bad days of the side effects. Has anyone found relief from the side effects of Cit by taking Xanax? I'll admit I'm a little scared to take it because I'm not sure what it will do to me. I'm really planning to only take the Cit but I'm wondering if others have taken it in combination with Xanax. Thank you, hope today is better then yesterday for anyone new to Cit.

Thanks for the info. Yesterday's symptoms were horrible but I somehow managed without the Xanax. I may give it a try if they are worse today, still a little nervous since I'm new to all of this. I'm about to take the Cit, wish me luck!

I too had help with a benzo at the start. It was a godsend. It helped to relax me and let me sleep. Try them. If you are struggling with side effects from cit then give it a shot. It's tough at the start but hang in there you will.get better. I remember in December I thought I was never going to feel better and enjoy life again but I have and I do. It will always be a battle but its one we have to face to beat. Good luck today!!
