Stuck of 15mg zopiclone here in the UK, struggling to come back down to 7.5mg which was my dose for 8 years and I jumped up when my GF left me 5 months ago.

Daniel:  I was on seven (7.5) a night for many years but percevered and am finally down to half a pill a night and not having major problem sleeping.  I used to panic but not just go to bed and relax and think calm things and say to myself I can do it and believe it or not you do.  I have another discussion on my email where two people went cold turkey and a month later they are doing awesome with no really major withdrawals so I am going to try and go completely off them.  good luck.  I am in Canada

I am in Canada too,  Brenda.  Quit Jan 1st, but taking melatonin and gaba to sleep.  So many years on pills.  Going to try to cut down on herbs soon, but doc says I gave to get some sleep.  Saw chief of staff at local hospital and he was so impressed at my resolve, saying Zop is a visious drug that was not supposed to be addictive.  As you say, although I am tired my brain is so much clearer, plus I didn't realize how it was foggy it was before.  Would encourage others to quit, if slowly.  Told dementia and possibly cancer later in life upgrade not stopped.  Oh lovely!

Daniel, I was on 2x7.5mg zopivane and 2x25mg phenergan and I went cold turkey. Worst part was going to bed without my tablets, I was so anxious and scared that I would maybe lay awake for many nights. 1st night I dozed off for about 2 hours, 2nd night awake all night, 3rd night was better and from there my sleeping pattern improved. Withdrawal symptoms were bearable, headaches, nauseous, itching and aggression. Zopivane is highly addictive, and the side effects are terrible. I became very aggressive without even noticing it, I'm taking my life back. Melatonin and the other natural meds I've tried previously but it didn't work for me. Claim your life back please, you owe it to yourself. I am in South Africa
