Anyone on propranolol have dizziness get worse

I've been on prop for about 5 weeks, started on 10 msg for 3 weeks then went to 20mgs about 16 days ago. In the past week my dizziness has changed and gotten worse, I still don't know if it was the metronidazole gel I used for a few days, but I stopped that 5 days ago and thought it should be out of my system by now and the dizziness should have stopped but it's not. I feel Like I'm moving constantly and like I'm falling and floating. Now I'm wondering if the propranolol would start making the dizziness worse after a few weeks? How are you suppose to know what is causing what? All I know is I can't stand this new feeling that is non stop.

As i've said before in my posts,i stopped taking it after a few days.  Check the, leaflet and see what, says about stopping it as  you may have to wean off it. But i would stop using it tbh!! If,it hasn t helped by now it never will!!

It was helping my anxiety but this new feeling is awful. I have a tracking thing for dizziness and I look at it and can see it's gotten worse and in the notes section I've been writing about this falling feeling since I started the propranolol so I think your right it's the med. I'll be calling the doc tomorrow about weaning off

    Hi Patty

So sorry that you are not feeling well. Did you ever get checked to see if you had or have a sinus infection?

Do you think a sinus infection would cause this falling feeling and moving feeling I'm having?

It s a possibility. Since all this start every time I had a sinus infection it triggered that same feeling you are describing.

I went to my first physical therapy and felt exactly what you are feeling. I came home and started taking over the counter meds for sinus pressure and my dizziness and off balance is so much better and the dizziness is so much better.

I asked the pharmistist about taking Sudaphed with the propranolol and she not a good idea, because it may cause a headache but I could use saline solution.

You said you took the propranolol, how much did you take and for how long? Did you just stop it or did you have to wean off and if so how did you wean off of it?

I'm sorry Angie I got your post and Gillian's mixed up. I know you still taking the propranolol. I hope your doing well.

Sudaphed will dry out your sinuses which is t a good thing for us. I do take a cold type med powder in warm water if i have a bit of mucous going, but if you look at Meniere's sites even though we dont necessarily have Mens,  will tell you what happens when you take it.  You'd be better using the saline sprays you can get in pharmacies. But only when you have a mucus problem, not all the time.
