Hi I am new to this forum and looking for people who have been diagnosed with Anismus. I had never heard of it before and I feel so alone. It has totally wrecked my life and there doesn't seem to be any real treatment for it that works. Only learning to manage it and live with it. Just want to know if there is anyone feeling like me.

It's sometimes called pelvic floor dysfunction. The muscles of the pelvic floor don't relax properly when having bowel movements making them really difficult or impossible. Also causes lots of pain when muscles spasm. I had tests for months before I was diagnosed. I have seen people mention it on other forums but they are from years ago.
