Hey Everyone,I Ive never wrote on a forum before, but could use the support...

About a month ago I noticed a round patch on my stomach, thinking it may be ringworm, I went to the doctor who said it was PR, and that it can last around 3 months and i should expect it to get alot worse.

One month later I am totally covered, my neck, back, stomach and the tops of my arms and legs. There bright red and slighty itchy.

I bought E45 cream but I put it on my neck and it stung so much so I've not put anything on it.

I'm going to Lanzarote next week, does anyone know if the sunlight will help?

I could really use some advice on anything that may help,I feel like a freak and it just seems to be getting worse and worse sad

    Hi Gemi

I saw your plea, and I just wanted to reassure you that although the patches are alarming that really it doesn't getting any worse than that.

I'm suffering with this for a second time and I do recall that the last time I had it that I was really upset and distressed about it. What I also remember was that although I did feel a bit under the weather, it was no more than a touch of the flu and although the spots did last a long time, they do fade and there is nothing more than the itching a dryness of them to have to deal with.

I have to confess I was actually really relieved when I realised that I had this again - as compared to shingles, chicken pox, ringworm which involve quarantine and so much more pain and inconvenience.

As you will see this tiime, I'm taking it as a sign to take a holiday in the sun - if you can afford to do the same, I would recommend a bit of TLC. That might be all your body is asking for.

The spots really do fade and don't leave any marks, but don't scratch them!

    Good luck.

I've had this rash for 3 weeks... Last week i stated to use 'Aqueous Calamine Cream', it's cheap about £1.20 and has really worked for me. I could see the difference and my rash (fingers crossed) is going. I hope this helps.
