Anyone reinstated so they could do a proper taper?

Thinking of reinstating zopiclone so I can do proper taper. Was forced to go cold turkey 13 months ago when GP retired after 12 yaers. Been nightmare awful intrusive thoughts, tried anti depressants for 5 months given me OCD and much worse anxiety. Have taken the odd zopiclone I have left and feel so much better the next day, so thinking begging my GP to let me go back on and do a proper as taper, as it's proved this is all withdrawal. Anyone else done this?

I think taper withdrawal l is the best way to go. I wouldnt beg though. I would demand. Your new doctor had no right just stopping them dead after all those years. I would threaten that you'll report them to the Health board or GMC. If you dont want to do that. You should talk to someone in your Local Drug Clinic and ask about MAT ( Medically assisted treatment) if it's really that unbearable.

Will do hopefully he will give me something def wouldnt take SSRI again. They have no idea the damage they can do by forcing people to just stop these meds. I know I can come off it OK just figure if I did a proper taper hopefully might sort things out. How are you doing? Have been to a drug rehab meeting but was full of people on illega; drugs trying to come off whereas I had already stopped not relevant to me, they all went off to local hospital every week for blood tests etc.
