Anyone switched from paroxetine to fluoxetine?

Any recommendations, side effects??

    Hi I switched from citalopram to fluoxetine and am having some effects. I shake, panic just want to sleep, been told to stick with it as it will get better. Hope your ok.

      Thanks Angela, I started on cit and it made me worse. I switched from it to paroxetine. I do well on paroxetine it helps my anxiety but I want to have a another child and you can't take paxil. Paxil makes me tired too. I was previously on Prozac after a traumatic miscarriage for 3 months. It worked really good and I would love to go back on it. I had a bad panic attack one day and tried to start it back and I had racing thoughts, shaking, jaw tension and brain zaps so it scared me as it didn't do that the first time. The psychiatrist believes it was from already having intense anxiety and that I should start back with a small dose. I guess I'm scared because the paxil is working and I had another miscarriage before I started it which is what caused the depression. I just don't want to go back to the way I felt sad but want to try one more time.

    Hi Nicole

    I went from paroxetine via a short spell

    On mirtazapine to fluoxetine

    I'm on day 12 now and I have only suffered

    Minor side effects . Everyone's different

    Therefore not everyone will get bad side

    Effects and vice versa . We all react Different . This is a great place for information, support etc

    Hope you start to atleast feel better soon

      Thank you! I've only been on paroxetine for 7 weeks from GP but I seen a therapist and she said I couldn't take it during pregnancy. I currently have cut the paroxetine to 2.5 mg and seem fine. I guess I'm scared the fluoxetine won't work or will make it worse. I took it before and it worked great. I tired to restart it when I was having an anxiety attack and I had awful side effects

      Can I ask how long you took paroxetine for?
