Dr Prescribed Vistaril for amxiety.. I don't know how I feel about this.. supposed to take it 3 times daily.. I can barely take one.. its zombifies me. Just wanted to know if anyone else had taken this.

I habe tried Lexapro and Prozac and Im really not looking to go back on an Anti depressant. Maybe a mild nerve pill.

Im guessing she didn't want to put me on a more addictive drug.. She prescribed those for my panic attacks. 3 times a day.. I take them 2 times a month lol. They make me soo sleepy that I can't rven function.

I am curious to see others' experiences with this as well.

What was the issue you had with Lexapro?

According to your doctor (who I presume is not a psychiatrist)...what is Vistaril supposed to do on its own for you long-term? Assuming you have a diagnosed anxiety disorder and not just some transient situational heightened stress?

She prescribed me Vistaril for my panic attacks.... and she kinda acted like she didn't want to put me on zanax or something like that because its easy to be addicted.

And Lexapro worked good for me.. I just didn't like the way I felt when I took it.. same thing with Prozac.. I always felt cloudy and way out in space. And the weight gain for me was horrible. As soon as I got off thr anti depressants I lost 30 lbs without diet or exercise within 5 months.

I am asking because on its own Vistaril will manage your panic attacks = symptom. But will not really help balance out your brain in order to help you truly recover. Pity you couldn't take Lexapro.

To get access to Xanax you would need a good psychiatrist. But even so, Xanax on its own can only manage the symptoms and this again only short term.
