I have had the worst bout of anxiety so far. Had to quit my job recently and am trying different ways to attack this anxiety and my last resort is meds. Any suggestions would be helpful....

A trained and qualifies hypnotherapist, can help. They will probably want to see you for a minimum number of visits. Check their credentials. They may want to take you back to find an original trigger or not. They work many different ways.

I worked with some of my clients using it...quite successfully. First I had to find out if they could be hypnotized....give up control. All hypnotherapy is really guided self hypnosis...with another person guiding. So, yes it real, and...you won't know if it would work for you, until your first session. Hugs to you Annie

Thank you for that. I have a consultation soon, so I'm pretty nervous already. But I rather do this then then have to go on

Meds. But sadly I may have too...

I have been interested in trying this also! Because when I think I'm okay/anxiety has gone, my throat locks up. New symptoms for me sadly, have had a oh so sore throat all day yesterday and on off today. It's like my airway is getting squezzed and I haven't even had a major attack! Idk why stressful thoughts can cause this when I havew not even had a panic attack. Anyhow I ahve heard hypnosis can be good...

There are very good free apps on App Store or You Tube which are free. Hypnotherapy can be good but it's best to have a recommendation. I went to one years ago but it didn't work for me but the apps plus you tube stuff helps a lot. Wishing you lots of luck x

First you should find out an original couse (a triger) of your anxiety and then, desensitize - to train your brain to respond in a different, healthy way toward your current life challenges.

Hypnosis might be helpful in both steps
