Anyone tried Serrapeptase

Hello there. Has anyone tried Serrapeptase as an aid to reduce inflammation and help with reduction in Pred?

My sister is a nutritionist and has suggested I try it.

Thanks

Yes, I have tried it - can't say it made any difference but we are All different and what works for one doesn't work for another. Good luck on the journey!

Hi, I've cooied in a link to Healthline which is waiting to be moderated. In the meantime here's a sentence about side effects which is relevant to us ' Serrapeptase should not be taken along with blood thinners — such as Warfarin and aspirin — other dietary supplements like garlic, fish oil, and turmeric, which may increase your risk of bleeding or bruising'.

It has been mentioned before and the general opinion in the past has been that if it claims to be a miracle cure - it almost certainly isn't!!! However ...

The second link is to an Italian preliminary study you might find interesting.

I can't try it because of other medication I take. - see the bit Celia mentions but I have included the link she wanted to quote here.

Thank you very much, Eileen. It would truly be great if it did all it promises to do but we will see. I think I will give it a try. Things have not settled down for me and I now have a referral to a rheumatologist but its not til 5th June!! We are considering seeing him privately so the wait is not so long.

Thanks once again to all who have answered.

Thanks Eileen - seems a bit more research needed before we leap upon yet another tablet!

I think so yes. I'd like to know how they claim it works - injections maybe but surely anything in oral form is destroyed by stomach acid??????

i just started IV Actrema for my GCA. I am worried about side effects, i would appreciate hearing from someone who is on it also. It seems to be the same drug as Serrapeptase

    Thank you

i am not interested in taking Serrapeptase, just asking if anyone is taking Artemra and are they experiencing any side effects , and after treatment did they feel bettet

Whatever serrapeptase is it is NOT the same as Actemra! If you want an answer to the other question I suggest you post it as a new thread so that other people will see it. Only people who are following this thread will see this,

Why would you want to take Serrapeptase if you are already taking corticosteroids?

    Hi,

I am exploring Serrepeptase as I want to try to get off the Pred as soon as poss because I am having considerable unpleasant side effects and it is not keeping the PMG under control.
