Anyone tried viagra for MD?

Hi, I'm putting this on here so other people can see if they can get their doctor's to give viagra to them.  I am a woman and it is not licensed for women but there has been a trial in Australia where MD sufferers were given viagra.  I live in the UK so there was no chance of me getting on the trial.

However, I bought some online and tried it (I was getting attacks almost every day for which my husband was having to inject me with stemetil and I was taking cinnarizine, ondansetron and some vitamin supplements).  It worked.  We were amazed.

Of course, it is a blood vessel dilator (hence its use) so it gets your blood flowing properly.  I get a slightly stuffy nose and a bit pink faced about an hour and a half after I take it last thing at night but as I'm often asleep then I don't even notice most of the time.  There are other possible side effects like headaches but I've not had them.

I know the sister of one of the doctors who initially worked on the drug and it was not always intended for men's impotence issues.  It was for blood pressure apparently and they tried it on themselves and noticed its effect!

We told my GP about the trial going on, and that we had bought viagra online and tried it, she went away and read up on it herself and when we saw her the following week she gave me a 4 week prescription for it.  I take 25mg a day which is the lowest dose you can, I think.

It's only the early days as yet, but, touching wood here, I do seem to be significantly better.  I can feel when I would have had an attack, but I think the viagra is enabling my other meds to work better than they were.  I've stopped the ondansetron and cut down on the cinnarizine (which makes you very sleepy) so that is making me feel better too.

I really wanted to put this on here so that other people suffering in the way I have been could have the opportunity to go to their doctors and see if they can get it prescribed to them too.  I've agreed to be referred to a specialist (in ENT not viagra!) and that's why she's prescribed it for me as it'll most likely take months to get an appointment.

Meanwhile I am feeling about 100% better.  Not cured of course, but so much better than before with attacks almost every day.  I couldn't go out on my own, was even anxious to go out at all, and got anxious if my husband had to be away from me even for a short time.  I am so  much more confident now, and happier than I've been for ages.

So if you're really suffering, take your courage in both hands, find the info on the Australian trial, and go armed with it to your GP.  Good luck.

    Hi Good morning Mam

I was also suffering from severe Meniere's disease and associated vertigo.

    My life was a hell.

But after suddenly I got a doctor which was like God for me. Dr kirtne from mumbai india.

Due to his medication and controlling of salt intake I was having normal life.

But as side effects of medication I got suffering from erectile dysfunction.

As I live in a remote town of India and my ENT doctor Dr kirtne was 2500 km distance from me I have just searched and taken just 25 mg of viagra and it worked and even reduced small noise in my ear.

But after one week when I taken second 25 mg dose my noise in ear returns considerably and I felt like my vertigo episode returning so I stopped taking.
