What does your opthalmologist have to say?

I don't have glaucoma. My eye pressure had been between 20/22 for about 13 years. Last year my eye pressure was 18 after consistently taking omega 3. Whether it was a coincidence or not I don't know. I haven't been taking omega 3 for a bit now and thinking of restarting. My opthamologist recommends it in moderation 2 to 3 capsules a week.

What dosage of Omega 3 and what form -- liquid or tablets etc.? Was it 3 times a week?

    Thank you.

Sorry, I missed what you said 3 capsules a week.

3 capsules 1000mg each capsule. If you have more than 3 a week I'm definite it won't hurt.

Thank you Michael. It was recommended to me by my ophthalmologist because of dry eye which is interfering with my vision. I have just had cataract surgery all completed. My vision fluctuates and she said it shouldn't and when checked was attributed it to dry eyes. My last visit to her was Dec 13. She didn't mention the dosage so I was wondering. Also, using a humidifier, warm compresses, eating fish, leafy green veggies, and omega 3 supplement. Glad I found this post.

My pressures were around 18/19 a year ago and had been stable for a year before that. After that appointment i began taking cod liver oil as it also has vitamin d in it and my my pressures this week were 13 in both eyes. Now there are a lot of other factors that could cause that drop but there is no harm in taking it, its cheap and will have other health benefits.
