Hi
Im 26 and had haemorrhoids. I had a haemorridectomy operation to remove them in Sep 2018. Fully recovered now thanks to God, and living life! My dad had them too, plus I was never paid too much attention to my diet and did have issues at times with bowel movements.
After the operation I am now fine and take my diet very seriously now, almost like everything happens for a reason..

glad you had successful surgery on them. i had a colonoscopy and they told me mine were too small to operate on. still does not stop them being sore and are a pain when they bleed. Been suffering for just over a year with them now.
if you have any advice it would be appreciated.
thanks

I would suggest getting a second opinion. Not sure which country you are based in, but you can ask to see another surgeon for their view. That way you know its been seen by 2 specialists

i am based in the Uk. i am had 3 different Doctors opinions on it and a colorectal specialist so think i have had all the spaces covered. Been to my GP over 5 times and they have assured me all is well

Really, that is interesting. If you had 3 opinions on it then that should be ok....
I was told mine were very large for my age. Only other thing you could do is go private which of course costs a lot of money. However I am not sure if you already have this through work for example. I wouldnt have thought that they would not operate if its too small given that it is causing so much discomfort. But if 3 doctors have said it then they must be right.
Must be very frustrating for you, if I was you, I would look at private options if possible. I imagine the doctors would only change their mind if there was a big chance in situation, i.e the pain was becoming unbearable to a point where you can sit etc.

well i think part of my issue is it may be hereditary as my mum is a big suffer of piles. things are not too bad at the moment. do often get dry skin around the anus as well and now use wet toilet wipes instead of dry toilet paper. will every now and then get a bleeding pile. not too bad to live with at the moment

Fair enough, if things to get bad and you can afford it, sign up for Private healthcare and get a expert to check it out and do whatever is necessary. Take it easy
