Aortic Aneurysm screening

I have been subject to regular AAA screening for several years my reading for 2016 was 3.8cm.I have been to a screening today and was dismayed to discover the size of the aneurysm has increased to 4.4.cm which seems a big jump to me. I was told I will be screened again in 12 months but move to every 3 months should the aneurysm increase to 4.5cm which,to me,appears to be likely.

If it was an ultrasound scan they are not 100% accurate and can be up to 8% out. The aneurysm pulsates and it depends on the instant the operator takes the image.
Mine showed as 3.6cm two years ago but when I had a CT scan of my spine soon after the aneurysm was actually 3.9cm.
Mine has grown very slowly and was 3.1cm when first noticed in 2004.
Do you mention it to your travel insurers?? If you don't any other claim will be invalidated and if you do they don't want to insure you. I got the company I used to exclude it from the policy.
