Appendicitis????

hi all I've been super stressed lately and I've had a lot of anxiety but I kind of hit the iceberg last night having a couple of sharp stabbing pains on the upper right-hand side of my stomach. it has currently gone away right now and I don't have any other symptoms but I'm afraid of my appendix bursting. is there anybody who has any experience with that or any knowledge of it? I would greatly appreciate it

My sister in laws sister had it and it grew to constant pain, sickness, nausea and a temp in a matter of hours. If you say you got these pains last night and you aren't getting it now you're likely fine. It's one of those that comes/goes to start but then gets worse, not better.

If pain does come back and gets continuously worse seek help but otherwise try not to worry. x

thanks for your reply. yeah the pain has now moved down more until like my lower pelvis area. which kind of feels like it's cyst pain I do have a dermoid cyst on my right ovary. can I ask you how long you and your husband waited before you went to a doctor? yeah the pain is still on and off it's not constant and it's not causing me nauseousness but I do have diarrhea. It sounds like if it was appendicitis I would be plugged up. thank you so much

I just got tested for appendicitis, but I had no fever, vomiting etc...They told me, it was due to my ovarian cyst, or possible endometriosis. I felt such panic because I didn't want a ruptured appendix. I asked my mum if she was sick when she had appendicitis, and she told me she was vomiting and doubled over. I hope your pain subsides, and that this info helps. Try not to worry. Stress always adds to the pain. Ps. I'm not a doctor, so if it continues, I would get it checked out. Just to put your mind at ease.

thank you so much Natalie, it does help. yes I have a cyst I know of but the pain is different this time. but the pain definitely comes and goes and I'm not vomiting and the pain is not at a 10 so I think I'll wait and just call my doctor. it sounds that if it was appendicitis I would be in a lot of pain right now. thank you so much.

yes yes definitely stressing and obsessing about it makes the pain worse. It makes the pain feels 20 times worse it almost seems like it's all in your mind but you really feel It makes the pain feels 20 times worse it almost seems like it's all in your mind but you really feel pain! it's the worst. I'm really glad that you don't have it. and that you're okay too

I'm I'm feeling a little nauseous but not bad. maybe it's just the stomach flu.I have to keep reminding myself that there are million reasons why I could feel nauseous and have stomach pain and stop jumping to the worst decisions of the life

Good on you for reminding yourself there could be many other possibilities. How you feeling now?

thank you... not so much stomach pain now but I am still very nauseous and tender tummy... ๐Ÿ˜ช I did call the nurse and they don't think I need to be seen. unless im in constant pain or fever... but the nauseousness is nauseating! lol

Sounds like a stomach bug but glad the pain has subsided. Ginger is a real good natural soother for nausea (like a ginger tea, particularly good with a little lemon and honey) x

so so the pain in my stomach was getting too much today so I went to the urgent Care after work and I guess the doc thinks that it could be pancreatitis! she didn't give me much info on it and afraid to look up and find but she took blood test to verify it so we'll see how the how the results come out.

Oh my goodness! That can be extremely painful! I hope all the best for the outcome. I'm so glad you went and got bloods done. I hope it puts your mind at ease a little bit. I'm feeling chest and rib pain too, but I'm with you...I dont even want to Google anything, because it gets your mind going crazy! You'll know what's up soon enough, and if it is pancreatitis, I'm sure they will treat you right away! Hang in there! Eat lots of bananas, and stick to a lowfat diet for now. Its easier on your pancreas ๐Ÿ’œ

Thank YOU so much!! I have had test after test but they cannot find what's wrong. I had an endoscopy almost 2 weeks ago, and my chest has been painful ever since then. Everything came back normal, so the fact that I'm still in pain is driving me crazy! I'm going to go to the clinic tomorrow and try and get an xray of my chest. At least if it's a chest infection, they will be able to see that.....It still doesn't explain my abdominal pain tho๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธ. I'll definitely send you a message explaining more. And same to you! you can ALWAYS send me a message if you need some support too. It really helps to go through these things with other people!
