Hi, I read a lot about ACV for GERD and reflux and I know there's a lot online, but I would like to know if anyone has had benefits for taking ACV and if so, how many days does it take before have any improvements of reflux. I decided to give it a go (1tb spoon in glass of water before each meal), but after one week no result and I'm also a bit worried that I might aggravate the situation. Should I keep going or give up?

Thank you

I thought it should aggravate things till I tried it. ACV is acid no doubt. But there is a scientific view that reflux is originally caused by non production of sufficient acid. I checked my level of stomach acidity and found it short a couple of times. How come I had ulcer and reflux? The simple answer is that shortage of acid starts the reaction which we feel as reflux with so much pain and discomfort. I tried ACV and found it speeds up digestion and makes me sleep better. it is easy to check stomach acid. put a teaspoon of baking soda in a glass of water and drink first thing in the morning. if you don't belch within 5 minutes then your acid may be low. There are more expensive tests for confirming this but this basic one tends to be reliable.

Thank you for the answer, I will check my acid stomach tomorrow. Just one thing....after how many days you were using ACV you realized it was working?

      Thanks
