Well today I had my 1st appointment for gastric band, so pleased that I did! So informative, and all my questions answered, I had an  excellent Nurse, next step to see the nurse and dietician in 2 weeks, I can't wait!

    How much are you wanting to loose if you don't mind me asking

      Hi David I really would like to lose about 6 stone if I can, it wasn't mentioned today, I don't know if quantity will be or whether  healthy eating is the main aspect, I expect all will be revealed at the next appointment. Have you though about having a band?

      I've got to see the consultant on the 8th in liverpool , would you ever consider going abroad ? I've just seen a place that does it in France for £3000, but I'm very weary about abroad

      No I wouldn't go abroad, I think by the time you've paid travel expenses including hotel etc then theres not much in it, also I don't know if prices abroad include pre operative assessment and bloods do you?

      I've not a clue about going abroad , the site doesn't give any details really very sketchy 😏😏😏 like you say there probley not much in price , and I don't know how you would go about adjusting the band when need, shortly they wouldn't make u go to France every time it needed to be adjusted

      I don't know David, I just don't feel comfortable about going abroad, I just want to hurry up and get it done! I would have it done tomorrow if I could!

      Again I don't know, next appointment in 2 weeks, the next step will be to see the Consultant, you would think going private you wouldn't have wait to long but who knows!

    I had my first consultation on 25th March and my operation for my gastric band is on Saturday (4th) so you can have it whenever they have a space free really! .. Exciting times !
