Hi Janet and Eric. I wouldn't wait to see your consultant on Tuesday. Get an ambulance and go to A & E. It could be that Eric has had a dislocation or the bone may have broken.. It needs an x ray ASAP.just to see what is wrong

I am sure they will do something if they can. I heard that a lady of 90 had a temporary pacemaker for the op. They may need to consult with the cardiologists, is it the same hospital?, can they get the relevant notes? Remember to take a list of all his medicines as they will need to know. If not a list take the packets. Make a list of your questions for the consultant, make a note of his answers. Let us know how you get on

Janet are you in the UK? If you are maybe you should ring 03332404100 this is ERS medical which have taken over the ambulance service for taking patients to hospital appointments and back home in a lot of areas in the UK. They are a 24 hour service. Which hospital do you attend? Please try them. Let us know how you get on.

Hi Janet, I agree with the others, Eric needs to be seen asap. My Mum fell and broke her hip, she was 89 years old and has severe heart problems. They (The Royal Oldham) did not want to operate but she told them she wanted it done and she would take full responsibility. She had the operation and recovered very well, she is now 96.

Best wishes from Hazel (Derek's wife)
