hello Trigger - these symptoms are part of the joys of fibro im afraid - that and drop-foot, crap balance, poor memory, disruption to speech, slurred speech I hate to say, the list appears to be endless.  i saw the pain clinic consultant and she gave me a leflet on neurological weakness makes for poor reading - my reaction was sheer rage and tears because they were all the issues i had been seeing my gp for for the last 4 years!  this and becomining unable to eat anything at all with gluten, no dairy, no caffine, no alcohol, no chocolate - not because i wanted to give it all up just had acute negative reaction to them all - btw, do you have IBS?  Constipation?  high liver function results?  high cholesterol?  requent indegestion?  poor balance? falling over - or just stumbling?  a bad back - the length of your spine?  'electrical' type pain?  hot flushes? it's all there under the fibro umbrella.  I will not give up.  I want answers as to why my gp wont prescribe me decent pain killers as an alternative to the antidepressants he wants me to take.  Iunderstand the mechanisms of using antidepressants to treat pain but it's his incessant going on that i have chronic depression!  makes me so cross because i know other than the pain, im really well!!

If it helps, I've been put on Propranolol for my muscle spasms (both hand and leg) and within 3 weeks of being back on them my spasms / tremors are virtually stopped. I had to stop them on July 24th after having a Peptic Ulcer bursting on my Duodenum Whickham nearly killed me. If I'd got to hospital 1 hour later than I did I would not be here to tell the tale.

MASSIVE WARNING - if anybody you know gets massive crippling pain below the stomach, check if they've stopped OEMOPRAZOLE or LANSOPRAZOLE within the last 12 months, if so ring 999 as it might be a Burst Peptic Ulcer like I had. If they don't get checked out by Ambulance / A&E urgently, it might be too late.

    All the best - Byeeeeeeeeeeee.

Hi Tiggers, Poor sweetie! All of you lovely ladies, I feel for you! We certainly have a struggle with all this pain and weird symptoms. I think it may all be FM doing this to you dear. There are certain times of the year that I feel almost like an invalid with all the symptoms I get. It gives us worry and stress. I always mention stress as a trigger so try to see what is going on lately in your life that may cause you extra stress and concern. Family problems, worry about our children, and just world conditions can really get us down. I know many of us put us last on the list of our priorities. Give yourself the kind treatment your deserve sweetie. Get your worries out in Journalling or talking to someone that you trust. Nurture yourself as well Tiggers. Let us know what the doc says but I am confident that you will be just fine. Never despair. You are not alone! Xxx

Well I am glad that you are getting somewhere now Tiggers. You seem to have a very conscientious doctor who looks at all avenues. You will get to the bottom of it for sure. That is why it is so important that we see our doctors regularly. Don't jump to any definite conclusions sweetie, until you are properly diagnosed. Then you can take it from there. One step at a time. Xx

Hi tiggers 1 Al the very best to you for your tests. You will soon have some answears as to whats going on.Its good your gp is sending you for tests. when I saw my gp about the same issues my gp put it down to fibro. she did how ever send me to a memory clinic to rule out other conditions. The lady that tested me said she had seen 8 people all of who had fibro and were experienceing the same problems. She put my memory issues down to fibro. take care warm hugs to you
