I looked in my Hyterectomy Journal and these are the questions I asked, some might not be relelvant to you but they may give you some ideas.
How long will I be in hospital for
When can I start kegel exercises, gentle and advanced
When can I bend down
How long can I stand for
When can I start walking the dog
When can I start Ironing
When can I do light housework
When can I start exercising
When can I start hoovering
When is it safe to resume sex
Do I have to shave/wax for the op
Can I take my meds on the operation day
Visiting hours
What do I need to bring with me
Hope these are of some help to you.
Love

Depending on your age you may want to discuss menopause and hrt. I'm having same op and I'm40 so going to be plunged overnight into it. Jacqui on the other hand has a great list of questions Good luck for 20th x

Don't stress about the housework- what you can and can't do...listen to your body, don't lift anything heavier than a kettle of water. The first couple of weeks I didn't do much really. But it's so important not to just sit! Pottering around until you're tired. I enjoyed an afternoon nap for about 4/5 weeks post op. And went back to work after 9 weeks.
I took my pain killers before I went to bed and found I could sleep a little better. Being tired and hormonal was not a good combination
If you keep the ovaries as I did, you might experience 'sleepy ovaries ' they don't like to be handled and so for a couple of nights around a week post op, I had bad (and boy do I mean bad ) night sweats. ...horrid! But soon passed.
I also went into hospital with bags and bags of sanitary towels and ended up using just 3 as I hardly bled at all!
Hope all goes well for you x
