I have been having problems with my left ear since before Christmas. I don't have the imbalance and hearing loss anymore, the tinnitus is minimal. I can't feel much fluid either, but what I now have is enormous pressure, like my channels are full of mucus. It moves however, sometimes it's in my cheek, then behind my nose, and sometimes the pressure is just above the hard palate of my mouth.
My nose doesn't feel blocked anymore either, maybe I'm trying to convince myself it's getting better?
I have my ent appointment on the 21st march, I'm pretty sure my gp thinks I'm completely nuts, I booked another appointment as I got intense pain when chewing on my right hand side, however this has now gone.
My question is has anyone had this intense pressure? It's constantly moving so I'm. It worried about a blockage! I'm doing sinus washouts now aswell
Hope you are all not suffering too much

I have pressure and pulling in my right ear. I don't know how to describe it other than it fees like my ear is trying to suck my face into it! It's horrible in the car. Yesterday it was pulled so tight I got a feeling something was down in my ear (like a bug) fluttering against my ear drum. It hurt and was sharp but didn't last long and only happened about 3 times.
I get a feeling a stuck mucous above my soft palate and sometimes it's hard to swallow and each time I do my ears pull and click. I have noticed that feeling gets worse after taking flonase. It stops the drainage but seems to dry it up where it gathers in that area. It's a miserable feeling.

Im sorry that your going through this but its good that you dont have any problems left concerning your ear.
May I ask, how long did the imbalance symptoms persist in your case of ETD? I think I might have the same problem.

i doubt i was helpful but it is a bit maddening to have. It has all gone away in the past actually for years but returned. The nastiest aspect is when you tell a doctor and they act stuoid like this is the first time they ever heard of such a thing and i know wholeheartedly thats untrue. Thats more the ent and doctors not the dentist they hear it constantly.
it is not always fluid based, even if it started that way. It is inflammation.

Thanks Lisa, I would like Drs to know about the feeling of constant ear problems and the worry, about waking up every day experiencing the same thing. I did wonder whether it was tmj related. Today there has been pressure and tinnitus. Dr last time when they looked they said the ear looked healthy with no inflammation (that was just with the one they put into your ear)
From hearing people's stories on here I'm not very confident my ent will bring up any revelations, it's weird if it was all in one place I could understand but my symptoms change from week to week
Thanks for the reply and the empathy!
