Aquablation-post surgery third week

Posted , 5 users are following.

Had surgery April 5th, pleased with the improvement in urine flow for sure.

Last week, bleeding slowed during urination and stopped for a few days. Then started seeing small blood clots, and minor bleeding. This week bleeding is pretty heavy and I just passed a clot about 1.5" x 0.5"

Left message for urologist to call back, but am wondering if others have seen similar issues.

Thanks in advance!

Passing a clot is not a problem as long as your blood color changes from the bright red to rusty brown and is less and less. What was your prostate size before the procedure?

Actually, today is worse. lots of clots and blood. calling urologist again. Yesterday they told me some bleeding/clots are normal up to 6 weeks but this doesn't look good. Don't know the size of prostate before or after.... thanks for the reply though.

Did you lift, bend or have long walk? As long as the blood is not fresh, it is ok.

A walk, about a mile if that's "long". Blood was fresh and bright red, the Nurse practitioner pumped saline in and out several times. Said the clots came out, and set up Monday appt. with Doctor. Thanks for your response.
