Are ALL of my symptoms anxiety? This has been ruining my life for over 6 weeks now!! Please help!!!

It all started February 26th, late at night relaxing I got a pain in right chest then raving heart rate, went to the ER and they did and EKG which was abnormal, but not a heart attack. They say I have a T wave thing that's common in women. But, kept me overnight wearing a EKG holster, did an echocardiogram, and a stress test. They said everything looked great and it was anxiety. My GP did a Lupus panel (since my mom has lupus coaguopothy) which was negative, then he did a CT of my chest just to check for blood clots in the lungs and looked at my heart too, it was with contrast. It came out everything unremarkable and arteries satisfactory, which my GP said was great. After the CT I was drinking water like crazy, dizzy feeling and the next day my back hurt where my kidneys are. 2 days later went to the DR and they did a urine dip and said I was fine. I then was getting weakness, shaky, chest pains and feeling in my arms of a lot of pressure. This was on and off, then couldn't eat, I'd feel like if I swallowed I'd throw up but would force it as much as I could (I've gone from 110lbs to 93.5lbs!). I've been to the ER several times and have had probably 6+ EKGs in the 6-7 weeks, last one was yesterday and they've all been fine. Then I noticed foam/bubbly spots in my urine, my GP did a urine dip and labs on it and said it all came back negative and good. I will still get weird feelings in different limbs and a numbness in left of head with pressure/lightheaded feelings and my eyes will sometimes feel pressure and have trouble focusing. Went to the ER and they did a CT of the brain which was normal. I've had tons of bloodwork that's normal. I saw a neurogist who is going to do an MRI to check, but my GP doesn't think it's neurological, he only referred me to ease my mind. He put my on Citalopram, I was on 10mgs for a week and he upped it to 20mg since Thursday. This morning my urine looked extra dark and since my left side and left abdomen will have pains on and off. My GP said I have to trust that he has done several work ups on me all coming back good and negative and that he believes this is depression and anxiety that has gotten severe and is producing these feelings. Possibly health anxiety too. Can this happen all if a sudden like this?! I feel like I'm losing my mind!! Oh, I also have a right ovarian cyst but they didn't seem worried and I'm just supposed to have a follow up uktrasound this week so they can see what it's doing since last month. I just want to be me again! My poor kids and husband are seeing this and I hate bothering them with it, though they're supportive I know it's got to be annoying them. I've always been the one to take care of everything/everyone and this past month and a half I can barely function!! Sorry it's so long but please help me!!!!! I can't relax, can't eat really, can't sleep without waking up a ton and can't sleep during the day either!!

    Hi Neil,

Thanks for the comment! I have read a huge extended list of anxiety symptoms...it does make sense. It's just so hard because my mind is always thinking something's wrong or this doesn't feel right. I'm a my GP or ER lately than I've ever been in my life!! I've already had him do a couple urines and he's done blood tests, but I'm probably going to call and see if hell do it one more time today and then if its ok I'm just going to try as hard as I can to ignore it. I hear that's the best way to overcome health anxiety?

I sometimes get a fuzzy feeling that makes me think stroke down the right of my face too. I've got my anxiety in good control as i've had ot since I was about 15. You can't get over it by ignoring it because subconciously you'll still be worrying.

To feel better your mind needs an explanation for whats causing it. I hope you get a good dr who understands anxiety because they will do a good job calming your symptoms.

A bad prolonged experience with anxiety is like dying a 1000 times. You'll be fine. You've had the luxery of tests been done and coming back clear so that should help you accept that you are in no real danger.

Good luck, hope you feel better soon
