Ive just been diagnosed with herpes a day ago. My mental state is all over the place right now. ive been taking valacyclovir 1000mg twice daily, it is only day 2. Ive looked at my herpes and they seem to just be all over my penis and pubic area. do they look really bad? and how will i know my triggers for outbreaks? looking for any advice thank you!

The initial outbreak is always the worst, as far as future outbreaks it'll be mild in comparison.
Future outbreaks, you will usually experience tingling or an itching sensation before you begin seeing lesions.
You can reduce the rate of reoccurring outbreaks and transmission rates by taking Suppressive Therapy which helps greatly with HSV-2.
