Are my meds causing hyponatremia?

Hi everyone,

I've posted before under numerous topics trying to find out how I feel the way I do. I'm beginning to wonder whether my meds are making me feel unwell. I'm tired, aching all over, restless, anxious, heady, in fact I have all the symptoms of fibromyalgia. I'm on Citalopram and a diuretic, Bendroflumethiazide. I've read that taking these together can cause low blood sodium levels and I have all the symptoms, although not severe. Has anyone experienced this please? Your replies would be very much appreciated. Thank you.

It's normal in the initial stages.  Lots of people feel like that when taking an SSRI.  It should wear off in time.

the symptoms you are experiencing are typical side effects from SSRIs and they will pass. I have been anxiety free for almost two years now and I'm on 20 mg of cit. I still feel tired and restless at times.

i would suggest you see your doctor and talk to him about your concerns. He would then be able to run tests and give you some reassurance.
