Are my meds causing yellow stool or is it something else?

Hello all. Starting off by stating that I am a huge hypochondriac and take every single minor thing and blow it out of proportion I have been having stomach problems for a few weeks now. It all started with intense hunger pangs and quickly suspected an ulcer because I would constantly crave food all the time even after a large full meal. It would feel like a burning discomfort between my belly button and under my sternum. I then went to my gp and he suspected a stomach ulcer as well. He then prescribed me a PPI( omeprazole 40mg) once a day for about 2 weeks. I only took it for 6 days since symptoms started going away. I noticed yellow stool (almost like a strong neon yellow)around the 5 th day and immediately got worried. So decided to stop taking it to see if it will go away. I was reading that the PPI can affect liver and pancreas thus producing yellow stool. It has been 6 days since i stopped he medication and my stool goes back and forth. It will either be yellow with a bit of brown hue or yellow. I had never experienced this before. Btw with all this googling symptoms i noticed that itchiness is a sign of liver problems and i had been itching and scratching all over Should I be concerned and go get checked out again? I had blood work done before getting on this medication and all results came back normal. Could it had affected my liver or pancreas? Please I need help I am very desperate or am I blowing this out of proportion ?

Im obviously not a doctor but i have been taking omeprazole for 15 years or something similar and never had any yellow stool for what its worth.
It could be indicative of a liver problem as well as itching. If youre a binge drinker like i was consider asking for a fibroscan.

Light or yellow stool is usually due to poor bile flow. A week on omeprazole shouldn't have thrown your liver into a tizzy, so hopefully this will pass on its own.
Lecithin from eggs (the lecithin is in the yolk) can help promote better bile flow, so you might try adding a few eggs/week to your diet to see if this helps.
If you don't care for eggs, a lecithin supplement should work just as well. You should see results within 30 days if this is going to help.
Best Wishes for better health, & I hope this passes soon.
