what kind of signs are you having? Depending on the signs you may or may not have depression. It doesn’t usually just come on all of a sudden, it’s more of a gradual thing. maybe you are just going through something else that is causing you to feel down. If it’s something like that, having a positive mental attitude is very important.
True depression takes a little time to resolve. Some people require medications, others don’t. Many people go to counseling to get support and help in overcoming this.
but if you were to talk to a doctor about this, he or she would want to know what kinds of signs you are having and what has gone on in your life that could possibly cause you to feel this way. it’s important to get a history of a persons life to be able to make an accurate diagnosis.

To comment on a cure one must know the cause.

Try to find the root causes of what makes you unhappy. Confront the issue. And just think everything is going to be fine in a couple of days. Most of the things we worry about dont happen. You must have proof of that throughout your life. If it's not a matter of life and death, just relax. You are going to be fine. Time is the best medicament.
Best of luck !

A lot of good advice here, especially from Jan34534. But the short answer to your question is no. You can not get rid of depression with the snap of your fingers. If it is depression, you are in for a long haul. You are going to need therapy, because it does not just go away on its own. Why were you depressed for two days, what happened to make you depressed ? Are you depressed currently ? Do you feel like hurting yourself or some one else ? If yes, please take yourself (preferably in a cab or get a ride) to the ER and tell them how you are feeling. If you do not feel this way, then that's a good thing. And you should seek a therapist to talk it out with. That's your best bet for getting rid of your depression. Hard to believe it only was for 2 days though, it usually sneaks up on you gradually. Are you on any medication ? drink alcohol ? or illegal substances ? that you may have abruptly stopped doing ? Coming down from alcohol could make you depressed for 2 days like you said. But I think we need more information before we can help you further. So get back to us, so we can give you better advice.

Hi Micky, Peoples emotions change all the time, feeling sad or down can happen for many reasons; loss of relationship, job loss, current medical situation, lack of sleep/fatigue, missing someone, stress/worry/anxiety(at different levels) can all make you feel unmotivated, down& etc...it isn't always depression, & doesn't always require therapy & intervention, some things take a bit of time and you will feel better, esp if you can figure out the CAUSE, then you can work on feeling better by FIXING/CHANGING the thing that causes you to feel this way(e.g if you feel lonely, reconnecting with family/friends, making new ones can solve the issue)..2 days is a short time(unless you have been diagnosed or treated for depression before, then you may need to seek treatment sooner), it doesn't mean you don't feel bad, its just that it may be something going on right now(its a stressful time for MANY people right now), that will resolve, if you start stressing, having anxiety over it, it will most likely progress, be calm, relax, THIS doesn't mean you are bound to have full blown depression, EVERYBODY feels a little down, sad, frustrated, even defeated at times, its how you deal with it that's important, you are in control & YOU can figure it out...see if there is something that may have triggered THIS specific feeling of low mood & see if you start to feel better, eat well, exercise, do something you like, treat yourself, call a friend or family, keep busy...depression is a diagnosable illness, usually if you have this low mood, sadness & etc... several months in a row they start considering depression or anxiety, other mental health issues, then they may give you some options like medication/CBT/counselling that also give you coping mechanisms for stress/anxiety/grief ....so if you try a bunch of things to feel better & after a few weeks, you just still don't feel right, are still feeling down, it may be the start of a type of depression(which can be short or long term) & it cant hurt to call a Dr or make an appt with a counsellor...keeping a journal of daily activities, feelings, mood, emotions, sleep, eating & etc... can help you find a possible trigger for feeling this way, help you find areas you could change up, and help your Dr understand what you're going through & find a way to help you get through any issues you're dealing with!!! Good Luck and chat at me anytime, there are many great people on here to talk to, you are not alone!! Best Wishes💒🎶♾🌈🐾🍀☮
