Ask a doctor to refer you to a dietrician or nutricianist. Many accept insurance.

Alter your diet and avoid rich, spicy and fatty foods. Diet change is key to treating gastritis. so you could try a food diary to see what foods may be triggering your symptoms. Try stress reduction techniques; some people also try supplements. PPi acid blockers can help to protect your stomach from further inflammation and to treat your symptoms. Some people do get relief with medication; there are success stories. I find acid blockers and milk really help my acid reflux. Perhaps try that combination.

I have chronic GERD caused by a weak lower oesophageal sphincter. I have to take acid reducers and milk regularly to manage the reflux which constantly flares up. It never goes away completely. I have had it for a long time and have got used to it. Some days I have no reflux.

Hi Michelle, what essential oils do you use for nausea? What symptoms do you have with chronic gastritis?

Sorry you are going through this. I hope you are feeling better. I've been having similar symptoms but not sure if its gastritis. I have an appointment with a GI doctor in a few weeks. If you wouldn't mind me asking, where is your pain and what does it feel like? I been having bad pain in my ribs and my upper abdomen for over 2 weeks now and its constant. Also nausea & loss of appetite.
