Are these shingles symptoms

HI! I was diagnosed with shingles almost a week ago although in retrospect wasnt feeling well the week before but didn't have rash. Was put on antivirals. Rash is very mild and not bothersome.
Effected the lower back and sciatica area. Yesterday i noticed the lymph glands in my groin were very swollen and sore... which i understand is a typical symptom. Today I have very bad pelvic pain. I'm 62 so I'm not going to be getting my period anytime soon. Could this be from the singles. I also been feeling on edge I guess is the way you could describe it... not crabby or irritable.. just like I want to crawl out of my skin if that makes sense. Also I am worried about resting so much. I don't want to get lazy. Is it good to push yourself a bit to keep moving?

Hi Karen,
All of the symptoms yo describe certainly can be attributed to the Herpes Zoster Shingles infection. Please remember that the virus is circulating throughout your entire body, not just where the pain and "rash" are. The edginess is caused by the inflammation of the central nervous system. You are not being lazy. Please rest and do not overdo it. You will pay for it later. Do not push yourself.
If the pelvic pain is on the same side as the sciatica, low back pain, and swollen lymph node, it is probably part of the same process. If it seems to be a different kind of pain, or gets worse, or you have worsening symptoms, you should definitely see a physician immediately.
I am a Nurse Practitioner in the States and have had Herpes Zoster Shingles in my right ear every three to five weeks for the past twentyone years and twice in my right eye.
Please let me know how I can help you.
Hopefully, you were given analgesics to help with the pain.
Best Wishes
Merry Juliana

Karen,
Every time I have Zoster in my right ear, my lymph nodes swell in both sides, but the right is larger and more tender than the left. The lymphatic drainage system doesn't adhere to the strict one side rule that the nervous system does regarding the pain and rash of Herpes Zoster Shingles.

Karen,
The lymphatic system is the body's natural drainage system of infected fluid, viral and cellular products and debris. You need to rest, sleep, and eat nutritious foods. The lymph nodes will gradually decrease on their own.

With shingles you absolutely do NOT want to push yourself at all. Your body isn't craving rest and your pain will worsen exponentially if you don't get lots of rest. Mine began with pain in my arm. I'd had the flu shot so I thought that was rhe cause. I waited too late to get the anti viral medication as that needs to happen within 72 hours to have much of an effect.
